Our architectural grade Bamboo boards are made of 100% rapidly renewable Bamboo and are exceptionally durable. They are square edged and can be cut, joined, machined, sanded and sealed using conventional wood working equipment. They are water resistant but we still recommend that you seal them for kitchen and bathroom applications. They are popular as counter tops as their surface is food safe and anti- bacterial.

Also known as SOFTBOARD and is made up of wet felted wood fibres that are pressed together with heat, resulting in a light weight board that has excellent thermal and insulation properties.

Veneer refers to thin slices of genuine wood- normally thinner than 1mm that are glued onto panels, eg MDF, Chipboard and also onto solid timbers. They are popular for commercial and home use. We offer  panels in a variety of species- Pine, Sapele, Cherry, Maple, Oak, Pink Beech, White Beech and Walnut. Other species and thicknesses are available on request.

Hardboard is manufactured from highly compressed dense wood fibres, combined with natural timber resins. This strong and rigid board is a cost effective solution to certain construction needs. We supply it in brown and white.

Raw MDF is a high grade, stable, composite material made from recycled wood fibres and resins that performs better than solid wood with respect to fire retardency and changes in heat and humidity. Its density, strength and versatility make it one of the most popular boards available for the domestic and commercial construction industry. It can be easily wrapped, painted, CNC routed and melamine papers, wood veneers, laminates and aluminium all adhere well to its smooth surface.

This is an engineered timber product made up of thin sheets of wood veneer that are layered and glued together to form a thicker, stronger and more flexible sheet. Each adjacent “ply” is at right angles to the one below, giving the ply its strength.

Also known as Particle Board is manufactured from wood chips that are ground and combined with resins in a heat press to produce a uniform smooth surface. Its structural strength and screw holding capabilities make it a practical and inexpensive option for the construction and furniture industry. A moisture resistant version of this board is also available.

Formica High Pressure (HPL) laminate is manufactured by layering numerous sheets of resin impregnated paper together and subjecting them to high pressure and heat to form an exceptionally durable and homogenous surface. It is resistant to stains, moisture, heat and impact. The surface is easily washable and hygienic. The laminates are available as loose sheets or bonded to a substrate board. They are commonly used on Postform Tops.

Extensive designs and colours are available from the PG BISON, SONAE and MAX ON TOP ranges.

These boards are produced by bonding a melamine impregnated paper permanently onto either raw MDF or Plain Chipboard. This surface is impact, scratch, heat, stain and moisture resistant. Our double and single faced white boards are very popular and we also stock a wide variety of textured woodgrains, colours and other designs to suit your aesthetic requirements. PG BISON have introduced a range of high gloss range melamine boards in line with global trends.
